The Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato Dragons relied on the scoring touch of Ryan Tormanen, who netted two goals, to beat the Redwood Valley Cardinals, 3-0.

Tormanen found the back of the net 10:13 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato and again while 3:35 into the second to make the score 2-0 Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato.

Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Redwood Valley to score on any of its three power plays. The Dragons kept the Cardinals' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jordan Houle made 48 saves on 51 shots.

Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato also got a goal from Aaron Haataja as well. More assists for Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato came via Garrett Impola and Ethan Niemela, who contributed one a piece.

Redwood Valley managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Cardinals wound up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. Redwood Valley did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Cardinals put an average of 2.8 pucks into the net per game.

Braeden Wahl recorded 22 saves for Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato. The Dragons incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
