The Orono Spartans had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato Dragons.

Orono was led by Sam Challgren, who racked up one goal and one assist. Challgren scored on the power play 5:59 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Orono. Joey Luedtke assisted on the tally.

The Spartans' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato power plays. Orono kept Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato's goalie busy throughout the game, and Braeden Wahl made 38 saves on 44 shots. The Spartans outdid their season average for goals scored. Orono has scored at the pace of 3.5 goals per game during the current campaign.

Orono additionally got points from Zach Grochowski, who also had one goal and one assist, Nick Schroeder, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Trevor Knight, who also registered one goal and one assist.
