St. Paul Highland Park falls to La Crescent in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Austin DeBoer gave the La Crescent Lancers a 5-4 (OT) victory over the St. Paul Highland Park Scots when he scored 2:16 into the extra period.

La Crescent's offense rang up 37 shots on St. Paul Highland Park's net. The Lancers bested their season scoring average. La Crescent averages 2.5 goals per game.

La Crescent also got points from Noah Salow, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Kyle Colsch, who also registered one goal and one assist. La Crescent also got a goal from Ethan Von Arx as well. More assists for La Crescent came via Jack Hanno, who had one.

The Scots kept the Lancers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Levi Thesing made 31 saves on 35 shots. St. Paul Highland Park found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. The Scots have scored at the pace of 1.8 goal per game during the current campaign.

St. Paul Highland Park was led by Dylan Zavoral, who finished with one goal and two assists. Zavoral scored on the power play 3:45 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Paul Highland Park. A boarding penalty on Salow had put the Scots on the power play. Jackson Buelow picked up the assist. Grant Vernon also scored for St. Paul Highland Park.

La Crescent totaled 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors and two majors and went 0-for-1 on the power play. For the Lancers, Nick Moser was ejected from the game. St. Paul Highland Park's Howie Sands stopped 32 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Scots incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
