Northern Lakes beats Kittson Central 7-5 as Florey gets hat trick

The Kittson Central Wolfpack could not stop the Northern Lakes Lightning's Aspen Florey, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-5 win.

Florey notched his first tally 2:46 into the first period. He then added goals at 47 seconds into the second and at 16:48 into the third.

Northern Lakes' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Kittson Central power plays. The Lightning's offense rang up 37 shots on Kittson Central's net. Northern Lakes surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Lightning average 3.2 goals per contest.

Northern Lakes additionally got points from Alex Galligan, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Kegan Couture, who also registered two goals and one assist. Northern Lakes also got a goal from Nick Blanchette as well. Other players who recorded assists for Northern Lakes were Kyle Narveson, who had four and Hunter Leslie and Gaven Bickford, who each chipped in one.

The Wolfpack forced Northern Lakes goalie Mitch Stangel to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots.

Kittson Central was led by Nick Kasprowicz, who had three goals and one assist. Kittson Central also got points from Anders Lindegard, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Jon Karboviak, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Kittson Central received assists from Billy Thorsteinson, who had two and Jordan Rynning and Tyler Cosley, who contributed one a piece.

Stangel rejected 43 shots on goal for the Lightning. Northern Lakes incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Tucker Cosley made 30 saves for the Wolfpack on 37 shots. Kittson Central incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
