Gatheridge nets hat trick, leads Kittson Central to 10-1 win over Bagley/Foston

Zach Gatheridge lifted the Kittson Central Wolfpack to a 10-1 victory with a hat trick against the Bagley/Foston Flyers.

Gatheridge got on the scoresheet 1:13 into the second period. He then added goals at 14:42 into the second and at 35 seconds into the third.

Kittson Central led by only one goal at the end of the first period, but put the game away by scoring six goals in the second.

The Wolfpack stifled Bagley/Foston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Kittson Central bested its season scoring average. The Wolfpack average 6.8 goals per game.

Kittson Central also got points from Kyle Petersburg, who also had one goal and three assists, Dalton Klegstad, who also registered two goals and two assists, and Tyler Cosley, who also had one goal and one assist. Kittson Central also had goals scored by Alex Strege, who had one and Anders Lindegard, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Kittson Central were Jordan Rynning, who had one and Nick Kasprowicz, who had four.

The Flyers could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Bagley/Foston puts an average of 8.5 pucks into the net per game.

The Flyers were led by Tyler Godin, who scored the team's only goal. Godin scored 3:28 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Kittson Central. Zach Thoma picked up the assist.

Kittson Central incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Bagley/Foston incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
