Foesch's hat trick boosts St. Francis over Irondale, 8-2

Zach Foesch lifted the St. Francis Saints to an 8-2 victory with a hat trick against the Irondale Knights.

Foesch notched his first tally zero seconds into the first period. He then added goals at zero seconds into the first and at zero seconds into the first.

St. Francis gained an early advantage, leading 4-0 by the end of the first period.

The Saints' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Irondale power plays. St. Francis bested its season scoring average. The Saints have scored at the pace of 4.4 goals per game during the current campaign.

St. Francis also got points from Kyle Wagner, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Cameron Kaehler, who also had two goals and two assists. St. Francis also got a goal from Lucas Carroll as well. More assists for St. Francis came via Brett Aldrich, Tate Blankenship, Carter Hilgers, Ryan Mohar, and Aaron Folk, who each chipped in one.

Darion Hanson rejected 21 shots on goal for St. Francis. The Saints totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Esko Aukee recorded 19 saves for Irondale. The Knights ended with 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major.
