Trevor Knight was all over the ice for the Orono Spartans, as he tallied two goals in Orono's 7-3 win over the Hutchinson Tigers.

Knight found the back of the net on the power play 1:35 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Orono and again while 8:36 into the third to make the score 6-2 Orono.

The Spartans kept Hutchinson's goalie busy throughout the game, and Zach Allen made 45 saves on 52 shots. Orono outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Spartans average 3.5 goals per contest. Orono was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.

Mitch Skatter also scored for Orono. In addition, Orono received assists from Gavin Payne, who had three and Will LeNeave, Wil Horoshak, Derek Limesand, and Silas Cleveland, who contributed one a piece.

The Spartans' defense shut down the Tigers' forwards for much of the game, and Hutchinson got off only 13 shots during the contest.

The Tigers were led by Shane Collings, who racked up two goals. Collings scored the first of his two goals at 1:41 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Collings' next tally made the score 6-3 Orono with 3:55 left in the third period. Hutchinson also got a goal from Tory Adams as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hutchinson were Logan Goosen and Matthew Cowger, who each chipped in one.

Ryan Breon made 10 saves for Orono on 13 shots. Hutchinson totaled nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major and had no power play opportunities.
