Estey's goals lift Greenway to 5-1 victory over Ely/Northeast Range

Behind a great game by Darin Estey, who had two goals, the Greenway Raiders defeated the Ely/Northeast Range Timberwolves, 5-1.

Estey's tallies came at 28 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Greenway and 6:22 into the third to make the score 5-1 Greenway.

Greenway's offense rang up 54 shots on Ely/Northeast Range's net. The Raiders could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Greenway additionally got points from Zach Childs, who also registered one goal and one assist. Bazil Zuehlke also scored for Greenway. More assists for Greenway came via Jayden Gangl, who had one and Alex Troumbly, who had two.

The Timberwolves racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 12 minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. Ely/Northeast Range had been averaging 12.0 minutes in penalties per game.

The Timberwolves were led by Patrick Kerntz, who scored the team's only goal. Kerntz scored 10:03 into the first period to make the score 1-1.

Greenway's Mike LaDoux stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. The Raiders registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Kael Richards rejected 49 shots on goal for Ely/Northeast Range. The Timberwolves registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
