The Faribault Falcons relied on the sparkling performance of Cody Morsching in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Winona Winhawks.

Faribault was led by Issiah Brogden, who finished with one goal. Brogden scored on the power play 3:08 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Faribault. The Falcons had taken the advantage when Winona's Ryan Grant got sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Christan Von Ruden provided the assist.

Faribault additionally got points from Von Ruden, who also tallied one goal and one assist.

The Winhawks were led by Michael Lubahn, who scored the team's only goal. Lubahn scored on the power play 11:32 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Winona had gained a power play chance when Cody Colegrove was whistled for unsportsmanlike conduct. Nick Rowe picked up the assist.
