Proctor rips Eveleth-Gilbert, 5-2Eveleth Hippodrome Thu, Feb 14, 2013 The Eveleth-Gilbert Golden Bears had trouble finding ways to stop the Proctor Rails, which beat Golden Bears, 5-2. Proctor got the win behind a great game by Shane Gould, who had one goal and two assists. Gould scored 11:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Proctor. Christian Ripley provided the assist. The Rails stifled Eveleth-Gilbert's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Golden Bears were unable to stop Proctor from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rails eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Proctor outdid its season average for goals scored. The Rails have scored at the pace of 2.6 goals per game during the current campaign. Proctor additionally got points from Ripley, who also registered one goal and one assist. Proctor also had goals scored by Ty Rackliffe, who had one and Brodie Nordquist, who had two. More assists for Proctor came via Cade Hella and Tanner Bergman, who each chipped in one. Eveleth-Gilbert's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Proctor power plays. Tanner Haedrich recorded 21 saves for Proctor. The Rails incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Casey Diwishek made 38 saves for the Golden Bears on 43 shots. Eveleth-Gilbert incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
