Breck School rides Johnson to victory over Marshall School Duluth, 2-1

Henry Johnson had a standout game with 34 saves, and the Breck School Mustangs beat the Marshall School Duluth Hilltoppers 2-1.

Breck School was led by Tyler Lindstrom, who grabbed one goal. Lindstrom scored 9:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Breck School. Matt Colford assisted on the tally.

The Mustangs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Marshall School Duluth to score on any of its five power plays. Breck School's offense rang up 33 shots on the Hilltoppers' net.

Breck School additionally got points from Colford, who also racked up one goal and one assist.

Marshall School Duluth excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Hilltoppers' offense operated below they season average. Marshall School Duluth averages 3.3 goals per game. The Hilltoppers' offense rang up 35 shots on the Mustangs' net.

Marshall School Duluth was led by Matthew Klassen, who scored the team's only goal. Klassen scored 6:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Marshall School Duluth. Michael Damberg picked up the assist.

Breck School incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. The Hilltoppers' Caden Flaherty stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Marshall School Duluth incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
