Duluth East downs Grand Rapids, 2-1

Meirs Moore tallied one point to lead the Duluth East Greyhounds to a 2-1 victory over the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks.

Duluth East relied on a core group of players for most of its offense, as Ryan Lundgren, Moore and Phil Beaulieu took 17 of the team's 33 shots.

Other players who recorded assists for Duluth East were Jack Forbort, who had one.

Grand Rapids barely challenged the opposing goaltender, taking only 10 shots on target to force nine saves. However, the Thunderhawks racked up more shots in the game than the 5.9 per game they average. Grand Rapids did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Thunderhawks put an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game.

Grand Rapids was led by Avery Peterson, who scored the team's only goal. Peterson scored 2:42 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Grand Rapids.

Dylan Parker rejected nine shots on goal for the Greyhounds. Duluth East incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Hunter Shepard recorded 31 saves for the Thunderhawks. Grand Rapids incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
