Duluth East downs Eden Prairie, 3-1

Jack Kolar tallied one point to lead the Duluth East Greyhounds to a 3-1 victory over the Eden Prairie Eagles.

With 44 shots on target during the contest, Duluth East exceeded the 5.8 shots it averages per game this year.

Phil Beaulieu also scored for Duluth East. Other players who recorded assists for Duluth East were Andrew Kerr, Kyle Chartier, and Dylan Parker, who contributed one a piece.

Eden Prairie put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Greyhounds to score on any of their three power plays. The Eagles' offense operated below they season average. Eden Prairie averages 3.2 goals per game. The 18 shots that the Eagles put on net surpassed Eden Prairie's average of 11.4 shots per game this season.

The Eagles were led by Mason Bergh, who scored the team's only goal. Bergh scored 4:04 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Eden Prairie. Luc Snuggerud assisted on the tally.

Parker rejected 17 shots on goal for Duluth East. The Greyhounds incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Eden Prairie's Jake Kielly stopped 41 shots out of the 43 that he faced. The Eagles incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
