Duluth Denfeld's Talarico deadly on offense in 5-1 win against Hibbing / Chisholm

Behind a great game by Levi Talarico, who had two goals, the Duluth Denfeld Hunters defeated the Hibbing / Chisholm Bluejackets, 5-1.

Talarico scored at 1:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Duluth Denfeld and again while 3:46 into the first to make the score 2-0 Duluth Denfeld.

Duluth Denfeld excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. By firing 33 shots on goal, the Hunters exceeded the 0.1 shots they average per game this year.

Duluth Denfeld also got points from Alex Thomspon, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Tre Opack, who also registered two goals and one assist. More assists for Duluth Denfeld came via Steven Maciver, who had two and Reid Lemker, who had three.

Hibbing / Chisholm put 18 shots on net during the contest, more than the 0.6 it averages per game. The Bluejackets could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Hibbing / Chisholm was led by Colten Perkins, who scored the team's only goal. Perkins scored 11:39 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Duluth Denfeld. Derek Abrahamson picked up the assist.

Zach Thompson made 17 saves for Duluth Denfeld on 18 shots. The Hunters incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Bluejackets' Tyler Carlson stopped 28 shots out of the 33 that he faced.
