Holy Family Catholic downs Delano/Rockford in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Holy Family Catholic Fire's Jonh Peterson scored 4:10 into overtime to beat the Delano/Rockford Tigers, 4-3 (OT).

Holy Family Catholic came back from a three-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Fire trailed 3-0 after a goal by Delano/Rockford's Justin Oja at 14:19 in the first period. Holy Family Catholic knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by James Sutton at 10:27 in the third period.

Garret Riebling was all over the ice for the Fire, as he tallied two goals in the win. Riebling scored at 15:45 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Delano/Rockford and again while short handed 12:38 into the second to make the score 3-2 Delano/Rockford.

Holy Family Catholic's offense rang up 34 shots on the Tigers' net.

In addition, Holy Family Catholic received assists from Matt Runyon, Shane Gersich, and Max Mork, who each chipped in one and Dylan Woolf and Will Garin, who contributed two a piece.

Delano/Rockford put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Fire to score on any of their three power plays.

Delano/Rockford also got points from Grant Prinsen, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for Delano/Rockford came via Adam McLain and Eric Ylitalo, who each chipped in two.

Dayton Rassmussen recorded 22 saves for Holy Family Catholic. The Fire ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. The Tigers' Aaron Grangroth stopped 30 shots out of the 34 that he faced. Delano/Rockford incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
