Cloquet Esko Carlton falls to Duluth East after surprising comebackCloquet Area Recreation Center Mon, Feb 04, 2013 The Cloquet Esko Carlton Lumberjacks could not hold down the Duluth East Greyhounds, and Greyhounds erased a two-goal deficit en route to a 3-2 win. Duluth East never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Greyhounds trailed 2-0 after a goal by Cloquet Esko Carlton's Weston Michaud at 9:19 in the first period. Duluth East tied things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by Meirs Moore at 11:59 in the first period. The Greyhounds netted the game winner on the power play at 2:34 in the second period on a goal by Moore. Duluth East was paced by Alex Toscano, who grabbed one goal and one assist. The Greyhounds stifled the Lumberjacks' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. By firing 27 shots on goal, Duluth East exceeded the 5.3 shots it averages per game this year. Duluth East additionally got points from Moore, who also had one goal and one assist. Duluth East also got a goal from Ryan Lundgren as well. Other players who recorded assists for Duluth East were Phil Beaulieu and Jack Forbort, who each chipped in two. Cloquet Esko Carlton was held below its usual level of production. The Lumberjacks put an average of 5.1 pucks into the net per game.
