Huge game by Wineberg boosts Chaska over Hutchinson, 7-3Chaska Community Center Thu, Nov 29, 2012 Brooks Wineberg was all over the ice for the Chaska Hawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Chaska's 7-3 win over the Hutchinson Tigers. Wineberg scored at 5:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Chaska and again while 6:21 into the first to make the score 2-0 Chaska.The Hawks kept Hutchinson's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kellyn Buss made 29 saves on 36 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. Chaska also got points from Derek Annett, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Mitch Kirchoff, who also had one goal and one assist. Carter Schmidt also scored for Chaska. In addition, Chaska received assists from Zac Rodeheffer, Josh Winslow, and Austin Hardy, who contributed one a piece. Chaska was unable to stop the Tigers from sending pucks towards the net, and Hutchinson eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Tigers were led by Matthew Cowger, who registered one goal. Cowger scored on the power play 7:15 into the third period to make the score 6-2 Chaska. Hutchinson had gotten the advantage when the Hawks' Schmidt was sent off for holding. Tory Adams picked up the assist. Hutchinson also got a goal from Shane Collings as well. More assists for Hutchinson came via Austin Mandelkow and Ryan Lenz, who each chipped in one. Blake Jackson rejected 31 shots on goal for Chaska. The Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Tigers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
