Buffalo hangs on, beats Cambridge/Isanti 2-0

The Buffalo Bison beat the Cambridge/Isanti Bluejackets, 2-0, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

Buffalo took over the lead for good with a goal by Jerame Schueltzle at 13:08 in the first period.

The Bison pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 19 penalty minutes.

Buffalo was sparked by Schueltzle, who registered one goal.

The Bison excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in seven chances.

Gunnar Goodmanson also scored for Buffalo. Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo were Jack Patnode, who had one.

Cambridge/Isanti's offense operated below it season average. The Bluejackets put an average of 2.4 pucks into the net per game. Cambridge/Isanti was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 34 penalty minutes.
