Roseau pulls away in second, rolls over Buffalo, 7-1

The Roseau Rams used a three-goal second period to put away the Buffalo Bison, 7-1.

Roseau's Ryan Anderson was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past him. Anderson certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 1.86 entering the contest.

The Rams were paced by Zach Yon, who had one goal. Yon scored 3:04 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Roseau. Alex Halstensgard picked up the assist.

Roseau made Bison's goalies to work without much rest, racking up 31 shots and forcing 24 saves. Mikey Otten made seven stops and Tim Harkness made 17. The Rams excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Roseau outdid its season average for goals scored. The Rams have scored at the pace of 4.0 goals per game during the current campaign. Roseau's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Roseau also got points from Alex Strand, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, Tanner Okeson, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Brady Castle, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Roseau also got a goal from Alex Ziegler as well. More assists for Roseau came via Isaac Magnusson, who had one and Dylan Mielke and Cole Bjugson, who each chipped in two.

Buffalo was led by Jerame Schueltzle, who scored the team's only goal. Schueltzle scored 10:47 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Roseau. Gunnar Goodmanson assisted on the tally.

The Rams incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Bison incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
