Buffalo wins tough contest against Rogers, 6-4Buffalo Civic Center Thu, Jan 31, 2013 The game between the Buffalo Bison and the Rogers Royals was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Buffalo emerged with a 6-4 win. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Cale Ehresmann at 14:02 of the third period. The Bison got the win thanks to a great game by Hunter Bruhn, who had two goals and one assist. Bruhn scored the first of his two goals at 4:40 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Rogers. Gunnar Goodmanson assisted on the tally. Bruhn's next tally made the score 3-2 Rogers with 4:37 left in the second period. Wilson Anderle picked up the assist. Buffalo kept Rogers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Blake Ternus made 25 saves on 31 shots. The Bison outdid their season average for goals scored. Buffalo has scored at the pace of 2.5 goals per game during the current campaign. Buffalo additionally got points from Goodmanson, who also had one goal and one assist and Jack Patnode, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Buffalo also got a goal from Jordan Carlson as well. More assists for Buffalo came via Justin Laven, who had two and Joe Hayes and Hunter Thompson, who each chipped in one. Rogers had gained a power play chance when Reed Morehouse was whistled for hooking. Branden Cecil assisted on the tally. Rogers also got points from Brandon Spah, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Cecil, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Jason Roberge also scored for Rogers. The Bison incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Royals incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
