Buffalo and Orono could not settle their match and fought to a 3-3 tie.

The Bison excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Buffalo was helped by Aaron Rouse, who racked up one goal and one assist. Rouse scored 2:36 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Jack Patnode picked up the assist. Buffalo also got points from Cale Ehresmann, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Jesse Sullivan also scored for Buffalo. Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo were Hunter Bruhn, who had one.

The Spartans were helped by Joey Luedtke, who finished with one goal. Luedtke scored 7:56 into the third period to make the score 3-3. Silas Cleveland provided the assist. Orono also got a goal from Noah Schultz as well. More assists for Orono came via Nick Schroeder and Chase Lee, who contributed one a piece.

Tim Harkness recorded 26 saves for the Bison. Buffalo totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play. Ryan Breon made 16 saves for Orono on 19 shots. The Spartans incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
