Breck School uses fast start to beat Blake School, 10-0

The Blake School Bears fell behind early, and the Breck School Mustangs kept piling on the points on the way to a 10-0 victory.

Breck School got the win with help from a great game by Michael Orke, who had one goal and three assists. Orke scored 6:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Breck School. Chase Ellingson picked up the assist.

The Mustangs' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Blake School power plays. Blake School was unable to stop Breck School from sending pucks towards the net, and the Mustangs eventually piled up 53 shots on goal. Breck School bested its season scoring average. This season, the Mustangs average 5.2 goals per contest.

Breck School also got points from Ellingson, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Lucas McCormick, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Matt Colford, who also finished with two goals and two assists, and Tyler Lindstrom, who also racked up three goals and three assists to lead the team in points. Breck School also got a goal from Andrew Keiser as well. More assists for Breck School came via David Husband, Jack O''Connor, and Jorgen Salveson, who each chipped in one.

The Bears' offense operated below they season average. Blake School averages 2.8 goals per game. Breck School's defense shut down the Bears' forwards for much of the game, and Blake School got off only 13 shots during the contest.

Henry Johnson made 13 saves for the Mustangs on 13 shots. Breck School incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Joe Santelli recorded 43 saves for the Bears. Blake School incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
