Albert Lea found itself down againt Winona, but battled back to secure to a 3-3 (OT) tie.

The Tigers forced the Winhawks goalie Wyatt Hamernick to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Albert Lea was helped by Joshua Martin, who had one goal. Martin scored on the power play 14:40 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Albert Lea. The Tigers had gained a power play chance when Alex Johnson was whistled for hooking. Adam Herbst provided the assist. Albert Lea also got points from Van Zelenak, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Albert Lea also got a goal from Alex Claassen as well. In addition, Albert Lea received assists from Andrew Thompson, who had one.

Winona kept Albert Lea's goalie busy throughout the game, and Garret Matz made 32 saves on 35 shots.

The Winhawks were led by Nick Rowe, who tallied two goals. Rowe scored the first of his two goals at 10:00 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Winona. Rowe's next tally made the score 3-3 with 5:27 left in the third period. Nick Arnold also scored for Winona.

The Tigers incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Winona's Hamernick stopped 38 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The Winhawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
