Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) survives Las Vegas Storm (MM) comeback, wins 3-1

Las Vegas Storm (MM) tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) held on for a 3-1 victory.

Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) took a 3-0 lead during the third period, only to have Las Vegas Storm (MM) storm back on a Daylan Lipanobich goal 14:45 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) was paced by Alex Smith, who had one goal. Smith scored 5:36 into the third period to make the score 2-0 Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM). Clay Cross picked up the assist.

Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) stifled Las Vegas Storm (MM)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Las Vegas Storm (MM) was unable to stop Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) also got points from Cross, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) also got a goal from Aaron Bland as well. Other players who recorded assists for Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) were Stetson Dircks, who had one.

Las Vegas Storm (MM) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) to score on any of its five power plays.

More assists for Las Vegas Storm (MM) came via CJ Stubbs and Wyatt Duehr, who each chipped in one.
