Michigan rides Craig to victory over Quad City, 3-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Spencer Craig helped the Michigan Mountain Cats defeat the Quad City Jr. Flames, 3-1.

Michigan was led by Guy Soulliere, who racked up one goal. Soulliere scored 4:32 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Michigan. John Arms picked up the assist.

The Mountain Cats stifled Quad City's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Michigan's offense rang up 35 shots on the Jr. Flames' net.

Michigan additionally got points from Bryan Davis, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Ethan Baker, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. More assists for Michigan came via Austin Sartorius and Alex Kopek, who contributed one a piece.

Quad City kept the Mountain Cats' goalie busy throughout the game, and Craig made 31 saves on 32 shots.

The Jr. Flames were led by Jason Hoehn, who scored the team's only goal. Hoehn scored 11:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Quad City. Anthony Caroselli provided the assist.

Michigan incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors and had no power play opportunities. Jake Leon made 32 saves for Quad City on 35 shots. The Jr. Flames avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of four power plays.
