St. Louis blows out Three Rivers, 4-0

The St. Louis Jr. Blues had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-0 win over the Three Rivers Vengeance.

Christian Argyros was all over the ice for St. Louis, as he had two goals in the win. Argyros found the back of the net on the power play 4:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Louis and again while 1:37 into the third to make the score 4-0 St. Louis.

The Jr. Blues forced Three Rivers goalie Matthew Erlichman to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

Andrew Kovacich also scored for St. Louis. In addition, St. Louis received assists from Kyle Meeh, Lukas Daniels, Jeremy Edwards, Victor Gortz, Cody Fedak, Chris Brown, and Jake Wynd, who each chipped in one.

The Vengeance did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Three Rivers puts an average of 3.9 pucks into the net per game.

Clint Steinmeyer made 15 saves for St. Louis on 15 shots. The Jr. Blues incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Erlichman recorded 40 saves for the Vengeance. Three Rivers totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-1 on the power play.
