Joe Anderson finished with two points to lead the Alexandria Blizzard to a 3-0 victory over the Peoria Mustangs.

Alexandria forced Mustangs' goaltenders to work all game long, totaling 41 shots and forcing 38 saves. Michael Parda made 10 stops and Alex Reichle made 28. The Blizzard put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Peoria to score on any of its three power plays. Alexandria featured an improved defense during the game. The Blizzard gives up 2.2 goals on average per game.

Alexandria also got a goal from Ian Eckland as well. Other players who recorded assists for Alexandria were Karson Kuntz, Spencer Peratalo, and Ricky Seidel, who each chipped in one.

The Mustangs stifled Alexandria's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Peoria did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Mustangs put an average of 2.8 pucks into the net per game. Peoria's offense was handcuffed by the Blizzard's defensive play, and the Mustangs managed only 14 shots on goal during the game.

Chase Wilson rejected 14 shots on goal for Alexandria. The Blizzard incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Peoria incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
