Behind a great game by Cody Guidorzi, who had two goals and one assist, the St. Louis Jr. Blues defeated the Alexandria Blizzard, 4-1.

Guidorzi found the back of the net 39 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 St. Louis and again while 6:46 into the second to make the score 2-1 St. Louis.

St. Louis' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Alexandria power plays.

St. Louis additionally got points from Brycon Johnson, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for St. Louis were Victor Gortz, who had three.

Alexandria put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Jr. Blues to score on any of their four power plays. The Blizzard could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Alexandria averages 3.7 goals per game.

The Blizzard were led by Ritchie Brown, who scored the team's only goal. Brown scored 6:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1.

Mikael Broliden rejected 22 shots on goal for St. Louis. The Jr. Blues incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Chase Wilson recorded 16 saves for Alexandria. The Blizzard incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
