U.N.C. Willmigton tried its best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Penn State Brandywine NITTANY LIONS would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

Penn State Brandywine made the score 4-2 on a goal by Tom Naselli at 17:15 in the third period, and U.N.C. Willmigton got as close as 4-3 when Bob Sprankle scored 18:42 into the third period.

The NITTANY LIONS were led by Naselli, who tallied one goal.

Penn State Brandywine stifled U.N.C. Willmigton's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. U.N.C. Willmigton was unable to stop the NITTANY LIONS from sending pucks towards the net, and Penn State Brandywine eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. The NITTANY LIONS got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
