Schall lifts University Pittsburgh Johnstown over Penn State Brandywine, 7-4

Troy Schall was all over the ice for University Pittsburgh Johnstown, as he tallied two goals in University Pittsburgh Johnstown's 7-4 win over the Penn State Brandywine NITTANY LIONS.

Schall's tallies came on the power play at 2:00 into the first period to make the score 1-0 University Pittsburgh Johnstown and 11:27 into the second to make the score 5-3 University Pittsburgh Johnstown.

University Pittsburgh Johnstown's penalty kill excelled, as University Pittsburgh Johnstown gave up one goal despite allowing seven power plays.

University Pittsburgh Johnstown kept Penn State Brandywine's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andrew Heiber made 29 saves on 36 shots. University Pittsburgh Johnstown got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

University Pittsburgh Johnstown also got points from Travis Clark, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Derek Grove, who also registered three goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Brian Albright, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, University Pittsburgh Johnstown received assists from Anthony Pioli, who had three and Nate Conway, Chris Vargas, David Kutzer, and Wayne David, who each chipped in one.

The defensemen of the NITTANY LIONS were also effective in University Pittsburgh Johnstown's zone, and came away with two goals. Penn State Brandywine found itself short handed often, totaling 28 penalty minutes and allowing eight power plays.

The NITTANY LIONS were led by Frank Fourney, who grabbed two goals. Fourney scored the first of his two goals at 25 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Penn State Brandywine. Fourney's next tally made the score 3-3 with 15:06 left in the second period. A holding penalty on Dan Greene had put Penn State Brandywine on the power play. Billy Gregg provided the assist. Bill McGugan also scored for Penn State Brandywine. Other players who recorded assists for Penn State Brandywine were Mike Mcgaey, who had one and Tom Naselli and Sam Impagliazzo, who each chipped in two.

Dave Dunkleberger recorded 26 saves for University Pittsburgh Johnstown. University Pittsburgh Johnstown incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
