Boston Advantage (MM) hangs on, beats Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) 2-1

Boston Advantage (MM) beat Thunder AAA Hockey (MM), 2-1, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout.

A goal 15:45 into the the first period by Will Golden proved to be the game winner, and powered Boston Advantage (MM) to the victory Bobby Hall picked up the assist.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s power play was ineffective against Boston Advantage (MM)'s penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Boston Advantage (MM) was led by Joe Villari, who had one goal. Villari scored on the power play 11:56 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Boston Advantage (MM). Boston Advantage (MM) had taken the advantage when Thunder AAA Hockey (MM)'s Tanner Cowieson got sent off for holding. Hall provided the assist.

Boston Advantage (MM) found itself short handed often, totaling 16 penalty minutes and allowing seven power plays.

In addition, Boston Advantage (MM) received assists from Tyler Clegg and Christian Heidelberger, who contributed one a piece.

Thunder AAA Hockey (MM) earned a power play opportunity when Zach Phelps was put in the box for hooking. Brendon Dickerson picked up the assist.

Boston Advantage (MM)'s BILL PALMER stopped 21 shots out of the 22 that he faced. Boston Advantage (MM) registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Jackson Germaine recorded 24 saves for Thunder AAA Hockey (MM).
