Yan nets hat trick, leads Belle Tire (MM) to 7-2 win over Colorado Rampage (MM)

Dennis Yan lifted Belle Tire (MM) to a 7-2 victory with a hat trick against Colorado Rampage (MM).

Yan got on the scoresheet 1:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:01 into the first and at 18:00 into the third.

Colorado Rampage (MM)'s power play was ineffective against Belle Tire (MM)'s penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Belle Tire (MM) forced Colorado Rampage (MM) goalie Jacob Weatherly to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots. Belle Tire (MM) bested its season scoring average. Belle Tire (MM) has scored at the pace of 4.5 goals per game during the current campaign. Belle Tire (MM) was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 24 penalty minutes.

Belle Tire (MM) also got points from Cameron Cooper, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Jasen Fernsler, who also grabbed one goal and three assists, and Mike Maiden, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Kyle Shreve also scored for Belle Tire (MM). More assists for Belle Tire (MM) came via Zach Felser, who had two and Matt Rzeppa, Sly Sutter, Luke Bennett, and Lucas Linville, who each chipped in one.

Belle Tire (MM) was unable to stop Colorado Rampage (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and Colorado Rampage (MM) eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. Colorado Rampage (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 20 minutes in penalties during the game.

Colorado Rampage (MM) was helped by Logan Speelman, who tallied one goal. Speelman scored 8:02 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Cameron Strong picked up the assist. Colorado Rampage (MM) additionally got points from Strong, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Colorado Rampage (MM) were David Dziezawiec, Sam Krakauer, and Robert Salvato, who contributed one a piece.

Luke Frawley made 48 saves for Belle Tire (MM) on 50 shots. Belle Tire (MM) registered three goals on seven power play opportunities. Weatherly rejected 43 shots on goal for Colorado Rampage (MM).
