Anders Nord netted a hat trick to lead the Missoula Maulers over Glacier, 6-1. Nord's first goal came 1:23 into the second period. He then added goals at 10:38 into the second and at 16:04 into the second.Glacier was stymied by Missoula netminder Cody Janzen, who stopped 28 shots during the victory. Janzen certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.3 entering the contest. The Maulers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Glacier to score on any of its five power plays. Missoula kept Glacier's goalie busy throughout the game, and Mitchell Tyson made 40 saves on 46 shots. Missoula additionally got points from Dylan Chase, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Joey Sundgren, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Zach Paisley also scored for Missoula. In addition, Missoula received assists from Dustin Pierce, who had one and Paigg Maul, Brett Mathews, and Connor McNally, who each chipped in two. Glacier was often in penalty trouble, totaling 12 minors and one major for 79 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 36.0 minutes per game Glacier had been spending in the box. Glacier was led by Danny Roe, who scored the team's only goal. Roe scored 7:29 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Glacier. Sebastian Adnell picked up the assist. The Maulers totaled 35 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-8 on the power play.
