Glacier blows out Bozeman, 5-2

Glacier had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the Bozeman Icedogs.

Glacier was paced by John Tesarek, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Tesarek scored short handed six seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 Glacier.

Glacier forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up 12 minors and two majors for 44 minutes in penalty time. Glacier had been averaging 33.0 minutes in penalties per game. Glacier kept Bozeman's goalie busy throughout the game, and Jude Hall made 36 saves on 41 shots.

Glacier also got points from Tucker Spooner, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Glacier also got a goal from Sebastian Adnell as well. In addition, Glacier received assists from Mark Williams, who had two.

The Icedogs forced Glacier goalie Mitchell Tyson to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Bozeman was held back by its power play unit, which tallied two goals on 10 chances.

The Icedogs were helped by Steven Nisbet, who had one goal and one assist. Nisbet scored on the power play 18:29 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Glacier. Bozeman had gained a power play chance when Chris Cutshall was whistled for slashing. Garrett Bryan picked up the assist. Bozeman additionally got points from Brett Barezewski, who also finished with one goal and one assist.

Mitchell Tyson made 29 saves for Glacier on 31 shots. Glacier registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Glacier ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Jordan Carter was ejected from the game. The Icedogs ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with seven minors and one major.
