Yellowstone rips Glacier, 7-2

The Yellowstone Quake had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-2 win over Glacier.

Chris Andre was all over the ice for Yellowstone, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Andre scored the first of his two goals at 2:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Yellowstone. Michael Berens picked up the assist. Andre's next tally made the score 6-2 Yellowstone with 1:05 left in the second period. Kyle Sandera provided the assist.

Glacier's power play was ineffective against the Quake's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

Yellowstone's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Glacier power plays. The Quake forced Glacier goalie Tyler Huberty to work between the pipes, taking 45 shots. Yellowstone bested its season scoring average. The Quake average 4.7 goals per game. Yellowstone's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Quake finished with 26 penalty minutes.

Yellowstone additionally got points from Berens, who also registered one goal and two assists and Orri Haman, who also had one goal and two assists. Cameron Hardiek also scored for Yellowstone. In addition, Yellowstone received assists from Oli Jansson, Jimmy Tich, Sam Basich, TJ Lozier, Bryan Standly, and Josh Neumann, who each chipped in one.

Glacier stifled Yellowstone's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Jared Schletty rejected 25 shots on goal for the Quake. Yellowstone registered zero goals on six power play opportunities. Glacier's Huberty stopped 38 shots out of the 45 that he faced. Glacier incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
