Billings rolls over Glacier, 5-1Centennial Ice Garden Sat, Oct 20, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Billings Bulls had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over Glacier. Billings was sparked by Luke Bing, who grabbed one goal. Bing scored on the power play 1:30 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Billings. Nick Rizzo picked up the assist. The Bulls put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Glacier to score on any of its four power plays. Billings kept Glacier's goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan Jamar made 54 saves on 59 shots. The Bulls found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Billings averages 2.4 goals per game. Billings additionally got points from Jarrett Stark, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Billings also had goals scored by Christopher Timm, who had one and Kyle Blankenship, who had two. In addition, Billings received assists from Dexter Nealy, who had two and Adam Wikingsson, John Vant, and Nik Nasby, who contributed one a piece. Glacier did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 14 shots on net to force 13 saves. Glacier was led by Austin Givens, who scored the team's only goal. Givens scored 2:04 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Billings. Kyle Watne provided the assist. Matt Hultman made 13 saves for the Bulls on 14 shots. Billings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Glacier incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
