Belle Tire (MM) penalty kill dominates in 4-1 defeat of Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM)

Despite having to fight off several power plays, Belle Tire (MM) was able to defeat Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM), 4-1.

Belle Tire (MM) was led by Matheson Iacopelli, who finished with one goal. Iacopelli scored 10:17 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Belle Tire (MM). Tyler Baker assisted on the tally.

Belle Tire (MM)'s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) power plays. Belle Tire (MM)'s offense rang up 39 shots on Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM)'s net.

Belle Tire (MM) also got a goal from Kyle Shreve as well. Other players who recorded assists for Belle Tire (MM) were Jalen Chatfield, Zach Felser, Jasen Fernsler, Logan Lambdin, Forest Donovan, and Luke Bennett, who contributed one a piece.

Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) wound up below its season average of 15.0 penalty minutes per game.

Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) was led by Danny Kiraly, who scored the team's only goal. Kiraly scored 16:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM). Clay Cross picked up the assist.
