LA Jr Kings (MM) and Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

Behind two goals from Brandon Ngai and one goal and two assists from Chase Redden, LA Jr Kings (MM) tied Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) 3-3 (OT).

The LA Jr Kings (MM) penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. LA Jr Kings (MM) had been averaging 12.0 minutes in penalties per game. Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) was unable to stop LA Jr Kings (MM) from sending pucks towards the net, and LA Jr Kings (MM) eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

LA Jr Kings (MM) also got points from Redden, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. More assists for LA Jr Kings (MM) came via Kyle Martins, who had two and Jake Vitta and Taylor Maruya, who contributed one a piece.

Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) forced LA Jr Kings (MM) goalie Jon MANLOW to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) was ineffective while on the power play, as it was held to one goal off of 10 man advantages. Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM)'s penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) finished with 16 penalty minutes.

Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) was helped by Taylor Moorman, who finished with one goal. Moorman scored 10:11 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM). Wes Fry picked up the assist. Danny Kiraly also scored for Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM). In addition, Phoenix Jr Coyotes (MM) received assists from Clay Cross and Caleb Pola, who each chipped in one.
