DURHAM WEST hangs on, beats BARRIE 2-0

Brittany St. James gave DURHAM WEST the lead in the first period, and BARRIE was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-0.

St. James provided DURHAM WEST with the game-winning tally when she scored 4:39 into the the first period. Kennedy Marchment picked up the assist.

DURHAM WEST was led by St. James, who registered one goal.

DURHAM WEST managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. DURHAM WEST ended up below its season average of 10.0 penalty minutes per game.

DURHAM WEST also got a goal from Laura Horwood as well. In addition, DURHAM WEST received assists from Samantha McKenzie, Carly Marchment (C), and Stephanie Cooper, who each chipped in one.

BARRIE found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere 12 shots against DURHAM WEST's defense.
