TORONTO downs NEPEAN in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

TORONTO pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over NEPEAN on a clutch goal by Morgan Kelly.

TORONTO almost relinquished a two-score lead. TORONTO made it 2-0 on a goal by Breanne Grant at 59 seconds in the third period. NEPEAN pulled to within 2-1 on a goal by Mackenzie Stone at 5:02 in the third period.

TORONTO was sparked by Kelly, who tallied one goal. Kelly scored 3:46 into overtime to make the score 3-2 TORONTO. Brooke Webster provided the assist.

TORONTO's offense rang up 31 shots on NEPEAN's net. TORONTO's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

TORONTO also got points from Webster, who also registered one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for TORONTO were Morgan Sly and Emma Korbs, who contributed one a piece.

NEPEAN excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

NEPEAN was helped by Sam Cogan, who grabbed one goal. Cogan scored 15:24 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Josiane Pozzebon assisted on the tally. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Nicole Halladay (PU) and Meghan Brennan, who each chipped in one.

TORONTO's Liberty McKague stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that she faced. TORONTO incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Kierra Lambertucci recorded 28 saves for NEPEAN. NEPEAN incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
