CAMBRIDGE falls to DURHAM WEST in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Stephanie Cooper gave DURHAM WEST a 3-2 (OT) victory over CAMBRIDGE when she scored 2:47 into the extra period.

DURHAM WEST was led by Cooper, who grabbed one goal.

DURHAM WEST stifled CAMBRIDGE's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. CAMBRIDGE was unable to stop DURHAM WEST from sending pucks towards the net, and DURHAM WEST eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

DURHAM WEST also got a goal from Laura Horwood as well. More assists for DURHAM WEST came via Dakota Waites, who had two and Dana Fairbarn, Samantha McKenzie, Kennedy Marchment, and Taylor Edwards, who contributed one a piece.

CAMBRIDGE's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as CAMBRIDGE finished with 26 penalty minutes.

CAMBRIDGE was helped by Taytum Clairmont, who finished with one goal. Clairmont scored 14:41 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Beatrice Harrietha picked up the assist. Kaileigh Grant (A) also scored for CAMBRIDGE. Other players who recorded assists for CAMBRIDGE were Kate Gilkinson (A), who had one.

DURHAM WEST's Kassidy Sauve stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that she faced. DURHAM WEST incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Julia Vandyk made 34 saves for CAMBRIDGE on 37 shots. CAMBRIDGE registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. CAMBRIDGE ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Gilkinson (A) was ejected from the game.
