AURORA holds on for 4-3 win against WATERLOO

WATERLOO tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but AURORA held on for a 4-3 victory.

AURORA made the score 4-1 on a goal by Claudia Black at 11:47 in the second period, and WATERLOO got as close as 4-3 when Hannah Davidson scored 16:38 into the third period.

Jessica Gillham was all over the ice for AURORA, as she tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Gillham scored the first of her two goals at 5:52 into the second period to make the score 2-0 AURORA. Caroline DeBruin(A) provided the assist. Gillham's next tally made the score 3-0 AURORA with 11:17 left in the second period. DeBruin(A) assisted on the tally.

AURORA additionally got points from Black, who also registered one goal and one assist. AURORA also got a goal from Kayla Jardine as well. Other players who recorded assists for AURORA were Jacky Normandeau, Madison Lee, and Ashley Rothon, who each chipped in one.

WATERLOO stifled AURORA's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. AURORA was unable to stop WATERLOO from sending pucks towards the net, and WATERLOO eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

Taylor Weber also scored for WATERLOO. In addition, WATERLOO received assists from Laura Baker, who had one and Jade Gauthier and Dollee Meigs, who each chipped in two.

Paula Voorheis recorded 29 saves for AURORA. AURORA incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stephanie Sluys rejected 22 shots on goal for WATERLOO. WATERLOO incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
