MISSISSAUGA blows out OTTAWA, 9-2

MISSISSAUGA had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-2 win over OTTAWA.

MISSISSAUGA got the win behind a great game by Ainsley MacMillan, who had two goals and one assist. MacMillan scored the first of her two goals at 48 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 MISSISSAUGA. Stephanie Sucharda provided the assist. MacMillan's next tally made the score 9-2 MISSISSAUGA with 5:20 left in the third period. Kaitlin Doering assisted on the tally.

MISSISSAUGA's offense rang up 37 shots on OTTAWA's net. MISSISSAUGA's goal total was higher than its season average. MISSISSAUGA averages 3.9 goals per game. MISSISSAUGA got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
