ETOBICOKE rips SOUTHWEST, 9-2

ETOBICOKE had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 9-2 win over SOUTHWEST.

Katelyn Turk (A) had two goals and one assist to lead ETOBICOKE. Turk (A) scored the first of her two goals at 11:15 into the first period to make the score 3-0 ETOBICOKE. Turk (A)'s next tally made the score 7-2 ETOBICOKE with 5:48 left in the third period. Stacy Joe assisted on the tally.

ETOBICOKE forced SOUTHWEST goalie Hanna Slater to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. ETOBICOKE's goal total was higher than its season average. This season, ETOBICOKE averages 2.7 goals per contest.

ETOBICOKE also got points from Nicole Atkinson, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Megan Farrell, who also finished with two goals and one assist, and Cara Sayles, who also registered one goal and two assists. Others who scored for ETOBICOKE included Shana Walker, who had one and Jennifer Thompson, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for ETOBICOKE were Catie Thomson, who had one and Shannon Whitaker and Mackenzie Johnston, who each chipped in two.

SOUTHWEST's offense rang up 40 shots on ETOBICOKE's net.

SOUTHWEST was led by Erinn Noseworthy, who grabbed two goals. Noseworthy scored the first of her two goals at 11:54 into the first period to make the score 3-1 ETOBICOKE. Sarah Laframboise picked up the assist. Noseworthy's next tally made the score 5-2 ETOBICOKE with 12:11 left in the third period. Haley Telega assisted on the tally.

Amanda Smith rejected 38 shots on goal for ETOBICOKE. ETOBICOKE incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Hanna Slater made 25 saves for SOUTHWEST on 34 shots. SOUTHWEST incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
