KINGSTON wins tough contest against BRAMPTON, 3-2Century Gardens Sat, Dec 01, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
KINGSTON and BRAMPTON were evenly matched throughout their contest, but KINGSTON made the most of its opportunities and won, 3-2. No lead was more than one goal during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Kailey Peirson at 15:07 of the third period. Peirson was all over the ice for KINGSTON, as she tallied two goals in the win. KINGSTON stifled BRAMPTON's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. KINGSTON also got a goal from Megan Simpson (A) as well. More assists for KINGSTON came via Shelby Perry (A), who had one and Brianna Gaffney and Christi McKinney, who each chipped in two. BRAMPTON's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. BRAMPTON was led by Irene Kiroplis, who had two goals. Kiroplis scored the first of her two goals at 21 seconds into the third period to make the score 1-1. Veronica McInnis picked up the assist. Kiroplis' next tally made the score 2-1 BRAMPTON with 9:54 left in the third period. Shelby Dunn assisted on the tally. Other players who recorded assists for BRAMPTON were Alessia Pasquariello and Candace Seguin, who contributed one a piece. Elizabeth Spinozzi rejected 21 shots on goal for KINGSTON. KINGSTON incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Hanna Mandl recorded 17 saves for BRAMPTON. BRAMPTON incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. |
