NEPEAN tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but OAKVILLE held on for a 3-1 victory. A goal by Michelle Quick put OAKVILLE up 3-0 in the second period, but NEPEAN pulled to within two on Taylor Thurston's tally 1:13 into the third period. OAKVILLE was paced by Jessica Prevette, who registered one goal and one assist. Prevette scored 8:50 into the second period to make the score 2-0 OAKVILLE. Lauren Carroll picked up the assist. Connor Garagan (PU) also scored for OAKVILLE. Other players who recorded assists for OAKVILLE were Hayley Scamurra, Nicole Vigilanti, Amanda Pereira, and Lindsay Stenason, who each chipped in one. In addition, NEPEAN received assists from Dallis Ferguson and Sam Cogan, who contributed one a piece. Camille Leonard recorded 16 saves for OAKVILLE. OAKVILLE incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Makayla Campbell took the loss and made 15 saves before being replaced by Kayla (PU) Thompson who made four saves. NEPEAN totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-4 on the power play. |
