Islanders EJ downs Atlanta Jr. Knights, 4-1

Garrett Cox registered one point to lead Islanders EJ to a 4-1 victory over Atlanta Jr. Knights.

Islanders EJ put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Atlanta Jr. Knights to score on any of its four power plays.

Islanders EJ additionally got points from Michael Doherty, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Christian Cordier also scored for Islanders EJ. Other players who recorded assists for Islanders EJ were John McCarren, Brendan Robbins, Chris Izmirlian, and Michael Jamieson, who contributed one a piece.

Atlanta Jr. Knights' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Islanders EJ power plays. Atlanta Jr. Knights was held below its usual level of production.
