Denver rips Bloomington, 7-1

The Denver Cutthroats had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over the Bloomington Blaze.

Bloomington was stymied by Denver netminder Kieran Millan, who stopped 41 shots during the victory. The solid play of Millan will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.85.

A.J. Gale had a great game for the Cutthroats, netting two goals. Gale's tallies came at 16:18 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Denver and 9:48 into the second to make the score 3-0 Denver.

Denver outdid its season average for goals scored. This season, the Cutthroats average 3.1 goals per contest. Denver could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. The 40 shots that the Cutthroats put on net surpassed Denver's average of 26.4 shots per game this season.

Denver additionally got points from Gabe Gauthier, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Luke Fulghum, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Denver included Jean-Philipp Chabot, who had one and Mikael Bedard, who had two.
