Bloomington survives Tulsa comeback, wins 4-2

The Bloomington Blaze, who led by three goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Bloomington and clinched a 4-2 victory.

The Blaze led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Bloomington's Tyler Gron's scored at 15:30 in the second period to put the Blaze up 3-0.

The Tulsa Oilers' power play was ineffective against Bloomington's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Blaze were helped by Nicklas Lindberg, who had one goal. Lindberg scored 15:02 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Bloomington. Bloomington also got points from Kyle Bochek, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Steve Makway also scored for Bloomington. More assists for Bloomington came via Travis Granbois and Sebastien Trudeau, who contributed one a piece.

The 38 shots that Tulsa put on net surpassed the Oilers' average of 21.3 shots per game this season.

Tulsa was helped by Drew Fisher, who registered one goal. Fisher scored on the power play 14:16 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Bloomington. The Oilers had taken the advantage when Bloomington's Michael Trebish got sent off for tripping. Ben Gordon picked up the assist. Tulsa additionally got points from Gordon, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Tulsa received assists from Ryan Menei and Sean Erickson, who each chipped in one.

Dan Dunn recorded 36 saves for the Blaze. Bloomington incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Shane Madolora made 20 saves for Tulsa on 23 shots. The Oilers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
