Jesse Dudas gave the Bloomington Blaze a 6-5 (OT) victory over the Tulsa Oilers when he scored 2:22 into the extra period.

Travis Granbois had two goals to lead Bloomington to victory. Granbois scored at 15:44 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 19:42 into the second to make the score 4-2 Bloomington.

The Blaze's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Tulsa power plays. Bloomington relied heavily on its defensemen to assist its forwards, and the blueliners responded by scoring two goals on 17 shots. The Blaze put 38 shots on net during the contest, more than the 32.1 they average per game.

Bloomington also got points from Nicolas Rioux, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Kyle Bochek, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Matthew Larke, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Bloomington came via Jon Booras, who had three and Tysen Dowzak, Sebastien Trudeau, Nicklas Lindberg, Tyler Gron, and David Gilbert, who contributed one a piece.

Tulsa stifled Bloomington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Oilers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Tulsa averages 2.8 goals per contest. By firing 45 shots on goal, the Oilers exceeded the 27.0 shots they average per game this year.

Tulsa was led by Gary Steffes, who tallied three goals. Gio Flamminio also scored for Tulsa. In addition, Tulsa received assists from Mike Ullrich, Drew Fisher, Ryan Menei, and Matt Gingera, who each chipped in one and Kyle Mariani, David Beauregard, and Matt Register, who contributed two a piece.

Gerry Festa rejected 40 shots on goal for the Blaze. Bloomington incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Oilers' Dan Bakala stopped 32 shots out of the 38 that he faced. Tulsa incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
